We’re hiring reliable, experienced, Part-Time Armed Security Officers! The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.
Hourly starting wage : $22.50 / hour.

Responsibilities :
- Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post
- Give the alarm and assist in response to a fire or the emergency
- Patrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicle
- Enforce company and client policies
- Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Supervisor and Account Manager
- Respond to incidents
- Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post
- One will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect life
- Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence
- Officers will remain on the post and wait until they have a face-to-face relief
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
- Secure facility and designated areas
- Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
- Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
Qualifications :
- Must possess valid Maryland Security Guard Certification
- Must possess valid Maryland Handgun Permit (HGP)
- Must have valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record
- Must have valid First Aid / CPR Certification or be willing to obtain one immediately
- Must possess proof of firearms training and safety from certified instructor
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Must be able to pass a driving skills test and Physical Ability Assessment
- Possess basic computer skills and communication skills
- Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 18 years old or older
